Charles Bradfield MorreyPapers, 1933-1978

Morrey's researchincluded work in area of surfaces, calculus of variations, and elliptic partialdifferential equations. His work led to the solutions of the 19th and 20thproblems of Hilbert. Morrey's published work is represented by drafts and othermaterial (18 in.) from several of his books. There are research notes anddrafts (15 in.) some of which relate to his later work on elliptic equations.Records of Morrey's work with the AMS-MAA Joint Committee on Women inMathematics (1972-1976; 3 in.) are also present.
